Scope Of Services
Emergency systems are typically defined as the final barrier (defense) to protect people and assets. ESSA is used to assess the survivability of the emergency systems when a Major Accident Event (MAE) occurs. The assessment of the emergency systems in light of a MAE will allow the project to determine survivability (of emergency system), the risk to people and asset if the system is lost and make recommendations (if required) to improve the system survivability.
Crude oil, natural gas, LNG, gas processing and export, oil refining, pharmaceutical plant, coal chemical processing, fertilizer and agriculture chemical processing, chemical refining, etc.
ESSA can be applied to various industries covering a magnitude of MAEs and emergency systems however all ESSA will consider the following:
·Identify safety-critical facilities included in the emergency system.
·Assess the vulnerability of the identified emergency system to damage caused by a major incident event (MAE, including fire, explosion and other hazardous events).
·To certify that all reasonably practicable measures have been implemented to ensure the viability of the emergency system or to make recommendations on any defects found.
